    Minister of Music Announcement Overview Create an atmosphere of celebration and reverence to God through music for all worship services. Lead and direct the church’s music program to include choir(s), vocal, instrumental and other expressions of musical experience. Foster an innovative, blended style of music to enhance and support the worship message goals. It is estimated that this position will require a commitment of between 10 – 12 hours per week. What we’re looking for? • Skilled musician who operates in love who desires to be whole and grow in the Lord • Great communicator who can lead, coach and develop music ministry • Someone who understands the role of the Levites, his relationship with the Priest with the ability to teach & execute within the ministry • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills required to effectively collaborate with both the church staff and administrators as well as the other members of the music ministry; • Experience working with members of all ages (to include youth, young adults and mature adults) Requirements • Ability to play contemporary Christian/Gospel music and direct a band (sight reading a plus) • Ability to administrate church and choir schedules • Ability to outsource musicians and singers when necessary • Ability to train and advance skills of musicians and singers • At least three references from pastors, leaders, and/or music ministers in which you’ve served in the past 3 years.
