Proverbs 3:9-10

The Finance Committee, under the direction of the pastor and its chairperson, is primarily responsible for receiving and disbursing all church funds. The persons serving on the Finance Committee are committed to the faith and government of the Tree of Life Christian Ministries. The members are elected by the Finance Committee. One of the members is designated the treasurer of the church. All checks are signed by the clerk or treasurer and the pastor.

The committee executes the following duties:

• Reviews or provides for the review of independent review or compilation of all financial records of the church and its auxiliaries every 12 months or more often as necessary and makes the results of these reviews available to the Pastor and Board of Directors
• Sees that all funds of the church and its auxiliaries are used for the purpose for which they are received and appropriated (unless legal provision is made for change of use)
• Sees that all disbursements are properly made with two endorsements
• Studies the church program with a view toward more efficient financial operation
• Disburses money from church treasury as authorized by the pastor
• Have prepared for quarterly conferences the amount of tithes and offerings received, amounts paid out, a report of receipts and disbursements of all finances, and the balance in the treasury
• Maintain accurate financial records of receipts and disbursements of all church funds
