“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.”
Psalm 19:7
“. . We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. . . That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.”
Psalm 78:4, 6-7
The primary design for crisis intervention is to aid individual Christians and those outside the faith in understanding themselves, and to help one another, through understanding human behavior. We believe a relationship with God in the person of Jesus Christ and a firm foundation in the Word of God are not only vital, but absolutely essential in the process of renewing the mind.
In many church communities, the problems experienced by individual members are self-imposed and often go unrecognized, because of biased perceptions, harmful attitudes, and self-destructive behavior. It is our belief that the church has a responsibility to unlock the hidden strengths to endure and recognize such common time slots of burden, trouble, and the chastening of the Lord destined to visit each of us during the normal course of life. Problems such as anxiety, loneliness, fear, depression, guilt, fornication, homosexuality, and much more all have the ultimate solution in the Word of God.
Our plan is to organize and maintain a Crisis Intervention Committee, which will include Crisis and Youth Counseling/Mentoring Program, to meet the ongoing needs of the community and church membership, and any other obligation as deemed necessary under this program.
